So all the kerfuffle was alleviated by a quick phone call to Google. Spoke to a good fellow in Ireland and he treated me like I was one of the gang already.
What did Irish googler do in under 15 minutes:

• Direct link fixed for application
• Waited on the phone while I fixed my application
• Treated me like a paying customer and really positively talked about the product
• Rushed through my application
• Had me approved within 24 hours of the phone call
• Sent me every link I will ever need to be the ultimate admin of a Google School

I must say I was impressed

Here we go

Well the holidays and some poor timing couldn't have been at a worse time but the ball is now rolling. Actually I now feel a little like Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark as the boulder starts chasing him down the cave tunnel. All of a sudden the idea of becoming a Google School is about to become true...I'm not even packed.

I am awaiting the last confirmation of our Education qualification and then it's all go.

Starting to think about account migrations, parent contact improvements, student access, student and home linked learning, Teacher Dashboard and so many other things.

If anyone has been through this process and would like to assist me or offer any advice please don't hesitate.

Once confirmation has been given and I feel completely successful I will detail the process so far and hopefully begin to divulge the wonderful things that happen thereafter.

Hmmm....Why No Response From Google?

And so the journey now begins...

After a really inspirational conference in Melbourne just over a week ago I have just started my attempt to make Ardtornish PS a Google Apps School. Although in theory it all seems relatively easy, I fear the Government School problems will rise to the surface very quickly....fingers crossed I'm wrong.
Can we use our domain???
Do we own it???
Emails???
Will the login automatically link to the student Apps account???

Well with a click of the button my first real questions are off through the cyber tunnels to that Google burrow out there....rise Google moles and bring me to the future.
